Rising Student Scholarships Donors

The James Oliver Edson and Violet T. Hull Biology Scholarship provides scholarships for graduates of Johnson County, Kansas high schools who are in their second through fourth years of undergraduate study at the University of Kansas. 

The John Kurtis Ostenberg Memorial Scholarship provides scholarships for undergraduate students pursuing a major in Ecology, Evolution, and Organismal Biology.

The Ryan Kanost Scholarship fund provides renewable undergraduate scholarships for students in the Biological Sciences department.

The D.J. Ovee Endowed Botany Scholarship provides renewable undergraduate scholarships to Jr, Sr, or graduate students studying in the Department of Botany, awarded on the basis of need and merit.

The Howard J, Koonse and Bettie J. Koonse Memorial Scholarship provides for undergraduate or graduate Microbiology students.

The Dr. Lisa Kunze Scholarship provides awards to students studying biology.  With preference given to a member of the rowing team, or at least a student who is committed to extracurricular athletics at the club or varsity level.

The Leslie F. Johnson Biology Scholarship benefits students in the Biology department at the University of Kansas.

The Jenna Robinson Memorial Scholarship provides for a student persuing a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and gives preference to KS residents who are not on the Pre-Med track.

The Talty Scholarship in Biology provides for a student interested in the field of biology.  Awards are based upon academic merit and financial need as determined through the policies of the University for the selection of such recipients.  Provided that a recipient maintains eligibility, an award may be renewable for successive years of study.

The Undergraduate Biology Departmental Scholarship provides general scholarships funded by the departments and students receive general scholarship contributions for the academic area.
