Maria Losito

Maria Losito is Communications Coordinator with the Undergraduate Biology Program and works alongside the Departments of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, and Molecular Biosciences at The University of Kansas. She works to promote undergraduate student research, fights the spread of misinformation, and strives to build a strong community within KU Biology.

She attended the University of Kansas and earned a B.F.A. in Illustration & Animation. Post-graduation Maria has worked as a graphic designer, illustrator & concept artist. She joined the Undergraduate Biology team in 2021.

In her personal time, Maria loves ride horses, play video games and explore the KC area. Her favorite spots are the Nelson Atkins Museum of  Arts, Overland Park Arboretum, and Rivermarket.
