Erma Reed Peterson Scholarship for Pre-Medicine Seniors

Through the generosity of the Peterson Family, Undergraduate Biology will present a tuition scholarship of $1000 for one semester to an outstanding pre-medicine senior.

KU pre-medicine seniors graduating in May 2022 sprint semester are eligible. Preference will be given to a student who is:

(A) either from Salina or McPherson County, KS

(B) a B.S. Biology Major with emphasis in Genetics.

In the event that there are no applications meeting either/both of these criteria, the scholarship will be awarded to a pre-medicine student graduating this spring semester.

To Apply

  • One-page essay outlining past accomplishments and career aspirations, and describe your interest in genetics; any connection to Salina or McPherson County should be noted in your essay.
  • Letter of Recommendation.
