Biography —
I enjoy teaching and microbiology. I have a M.S. in Biology from Purdue University where my research focused on the function of lyosphosphatidic acid acyltransferase. I am an adjunct associate professor for microbiology at a community college in the Kansas City area as well. I am a third year Ed.D. doctoral candidate in curriculum and instruction at the University of Kansas. I will be defending my dissertation in Summer 2022. My research interest involves studying student self-perceptions of project ownership, science identity, and science self-efficacy in Course based Undergraduate Research Experiences (CURE). In my free time, I like spending time with my husband and son, running and reading science books.
