The B.S. Biology-Organismal Biology subplan was discontinued in 2014.

Organismal biology emphasizes studying biology at the level of the entire organism but without neglecting studying biology below and above the organismal level.  This academic emphasis within the B.S. Biology major includes core courses such as organismal physiology, biochemistry, and evolutionary biology, and it requires at least one course to be taken in three thematic areas of development and morphology, function, and diversity.
