The Rockefeller University is a world-renowned center for research and graduate education in the biomedical sciences. The university’s 81 laboratories conduct both basic and clinical research and study a diverse range of biological and biomedical problems with the mission of improving the understanding of life for the benefit of humanity.

The university’s Ph.D. program offers rigorous training and close mentoring by faculty. Our students come from around the world (currently representing 41 countries), and international students comprise approximately 35 percent of our student body. The graduate program is flexible and individualized depending on a student’s needs and provides outstanding opportunities for intellectual growth as well as full professional and financial support, including:
