Marine and Coastal Ecology Research Center Humpback Whale Field Intensive Internship

Tuesday, January 17, 2017

I am currently working as a research assistant with the Marine and Coastal Ecology Center in The Turks and Caicos Islands on Salt Cay. We are trying to get information out to universities about our internship program and would appreciate it you could share this email with your students.  Each week we offer the opportunity for interns to stay at the field house and become an integral part of the research team.  This amazing experience will include research on humpback whale and sea turtle ecology, as well as snorkeling with humpback whales during whale watch excursions and gauging impacts of tourism on marine species we encounter.  I personally participated in this program as an intern and the information and experience that I gained from this program has proved extremely valuable.  It would be greatly appreciated if you could share this information with interested students.  Links to program information is provided below.  Instructions to apply are listed in course information on the Education Hub (www.Marine-Eco.org/mcerc-moodle) Please have students add my name to their registration.
