Jaydoc Free Clinic--Opportunities for Premed Students

Friday, February 9, 2018

My name is Tate Gilchrist, and I am the new Director of Internal Social Services for the Jaydoc Free Clinic located in Kansas City. We are a completely free and completely volunteer run safety-net clinic.

As Jaydoc has continued to grow and expand its services, so has its need for more experienced volunteers. Certain clinic tasks require individuals who are very familiar with how the clinic is run and what kinds of patients we see. For this reason, the Executive Board has created the Premedical Internship Program

We are currently accepting applications for next year's Social service interns. Attached is the application with more information about the position and its requirements. Applications are due Sunday April 8th at 11:59pm!

Please email me with any questions you may have about this position!

Additionally, our biggest fundraiser of the year is coming up on February 17th. The "JayRock Concert" is going to be held at the Uptown Theater and all proceeds will go to Jaydoc Clinic. In past years groups of premed students have attended this event and really enjoyed it! I will attach the flier if you would like any more information. This would be a great way for aspiring medical students to mingle with current students while supporting a great cause!
