Cal Poly seeks a few more applicants for the Fall 2017 class of our Master of Professional Studies in Dairy Products Technology program.
The MPS program trains students with scientific, engineering, food, and agricultural backgrounds for leadership and management roles in the international dairy foods industry.
NO FOOD OR DAIRY EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED.
This innovative, one-year master's degree includes coursework in:
- Dairy Chemistry
- Dairy Microbiology
- Food Safety
- Quality Assurance/Quality Control
- Plant Management
- Project Management
- Sustainable Operations
- Other areas critical to effective dairy plant management
Students complete nine months of coursework, on campus in San Luis Obispo, followed be a three-month, paid internship with one of our industry partners.

Our graduates have tremendous career opportunities with some of America's top businesses - Fortune 500 companies like Land O Lakes, Kraft, Dean Foods, and Starbucks, as well as large private companies and Co-ops, such as Leprino Foods, Tillamook, DFA, and Schreiber Foods. These employers are hungry for our graduates and are highly involved in the success and delivery of our program. Starting salaries for our graduates average $70,000 - $75,000. Engineers often start even higher.
