BIOL 500 + 502 Biology of Insects & Lab

Friday, August 4, 2017

Seats still available in BIOL 500 + 502 Biology of Insects & Lab

There are still seats available in Biology of Insects (BIOL 500) and its associated lab section (BIOL 502). The primary goal of BIOL 500 is to introduce you to the amazing diversity of the most successful organisms on the planet, the insects.  We will also cover the basic biology (anatomy, physiology, ecology) and evolution of insects, and show the crucial impact that insects have on the environment and human society. The lab course (BIOL 502) is a hands-on supplement to the lecture. The lab is field-oriented and primarily focused on methods for collecting insects, making an insect collection, and insect identification.
